The biologic characteristic of ganoderma



  Ganoderma is belong to Fungus.Mycota, Enmy-cpta, Basidiomycetes, Polporales, Polyporaceae, subfamily of Ganoderma in biology kingdom. There are 186 kinds in world and 105 kinds in China, among which there are 3 kinds available for food and medicine approved by the Ministry of Health: 1. Ganoderma lucisum£»2.Ganoderma sinense£»3.Ganoderma tsugae. The other is belong to amauroderma.

1. Ganoderma Lucisum:
  • annuals, with handle, suberin
  • pileus shape: kidney, half-moon or round
  • diameter of pileus: 3-32cm
  • thickness of pileus: 0.6-2cm
  • surface of pileus: red or dark red with paint shine.

    2. Ganoderma Sinense:
  • also called MuZhi, annuals, suberin
  • pileus shape: half-moon or round shape
  • diameter of pileus: 2.5-18cm
  • thickness of pileus: 0.4-1.2cm
  • surface of pileus: dark purple, amaranth or balck with paint shine

    3. Ganoderma tsugae:
  • annuals, suberin, having juice when fresh, light when dry, with handle
  • pileus shape: half-moon, sector or kidney
  • diameter of pileus: 5-15cm
  • thickness of pileus: 1-3cm.
  • surface of pileus: dark red, amaranth, dark purple with paint shine

    Currently, the ganoderma lucisum is in common use for health and medicine in domestic.
